Station 92 Information

“Runnin’ with the Big Dawgs” The City of Greenwood is located 15 miles south of Indianapolis in northern Johnson County. Greenwood is a combination department consisting of thirty full-time employees and eighty paid on call standby volunteers.

GFD provides Fire, Rescue and Hazmat protection to 25 square miles and approximately 47,500 residents.

The 92’s is home to Engine 92, Light Wagon 92, Reserve Engine 95 and the department’s older parade truck. Rescue Engines 92 & 93 are equipped with extrication and basic rescue equipment. Note the light tower on top of it’s 5-man cab for night incidents.
