From the time FAO Gordon was brought from the building on Dahlgren St. to the time he will be laid to rest, there has been and will be a uniformed member of the Cincinnati Fire Department standing honor guard over Daryl. These members have offered their time. This honor is a fire service tradition given to fallen heroes. It is done in the spirit of not leaving a fallen brother alone. Every member of Local 4252 would like to send our prayers to Local 48 and the family of FAO Daryl Gordon. Brother Gordon will be deeply missed – we mourn the loss of a father, a husband, a great fire fighter, an involved Union member, a kind friend, a warm smile, and an infectious laugh. God Speed, Brother.
