We’re made of up of three major fire districts: White River Township, Bargersville and Greenwood Fire Departments. Our dedicated men and women keep central Indiana safe from harm 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with extensive, ongoing training and rapid response.
We may be relatively young as an organization, but the heritage surrounding our history is steeped in long-living hard work and tradition. White River Township Fire Department decided to organize into the International Association of Firefighters in 2003. The name of our union at the time was the White River Township Professional Firefighters, Local 4252.
We cover a major part of Johnson County, Indiana. Johnson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of 2010, the population was 139,654. The county seat is Franklin. Johnson County is included in the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area.
